Benefits of Fleet Driver Training
An article appeared in a Fleet Car Magazine where a chairman of a large estate agents stated that the accident rate of their drivers had dropped from 95% to 44% in 4 years. This enabled them to negotiate a reduced insurance premium of over £200 per vehicle. He put this down to a programme of advanced driver training.
Statistics indicate that over 90% of accidents are driver related, the majority being rear end shunts. Driving attitudes and lack of observations are largely to blame. Fleet driver training can seek to address these and other problems such as:
- Reduction in accident rates
- Reduction in Driver injuries and consequent sickness absence
- Reduction in fuel cost due to greater driver /vehicle sympathy
- Reduction in maintenance costs due to correct use of gears brakes steering etc
- More driver availability
Driving Refresher Courses
Find your confidence again.
This will be designed around each individual. Driving refresher courses can simply be needed due to a client not driving for some time and not having much confidence or having driven an automatic car, has lost the skills in driving manual.
In some cases after a road traffic accident a considerable amount of time has lapsed and confidence needs to be put in place this course then will be arranged around each individual need. Advice and tuition will be advised this may include motorway tuition.
Motorway Driver Training
To most experienced drivers motorways will be a common source of travelling to work and we are fortunate to have a wide network of motorways in our area (M65, M55, M6, M60, M62). To a lot of drivers these types of roads will simply not be a choice because after taking the driving test, motorway tuition was never offered or if it was, the offer was never taken up. In some cases, due to new work or relocation motorway driving is now a must.
Motorways are regarded as the safest roads to travel on even though the inexperienced will not consider this to be true. Tuition will be on each motorway as experience and confidence grows and will be in slots of 2 hours.
